Only thing that lasts

Felicity comes

Upon wings of gold

Glittering,

Throwing it’s light

All over the place;

And then, the words

That launch themselves

Like flaming arrows

Plunging into

The depths,

Tearing the fragile walls,

Of the heart,

Suppressing the wings of gold,

Melting them

To a liquid

That fills the cracks

And holes

Of lonely rocks

Upon which grass do not grow.

And that’s when

The sun sets,

And the dark rises

With no one to see

Nor hear

The silent cries

The sorrow, the pain,

That’s hidden from the rest of the world.

And that’s when the true form

Can be seen –

Where there is no one

To see.
